A funding consultancy helps founders and companies find the right programs among a huge range of public funding options, submit the application, and secure the funds through to payout. Germany has more than 2,000 funding programs at the state, federal, and EU level, each with its own criteria and deadlines. We handle the research, the application, and the process so you can focus on your core business.

Above all, founders, startups, and young companies developing innovative products or processes who don't have the time or experience to navigate the funding jungle themselves. It's especially valuable when internal resources are tight and an application needs to be submitted flawlessly, since even small formal errors can lead to rejection.

It depends on your stage, location, and project. Frequently relevant programs include the Berlin GründungsBONUS, the R&D tax allowance (Forschungszulage), ProFIT, EXIST, and European programs such as the EIC Accelerator, EIC Pathfinder, and Eurostars. Many of these programs can be combined, and keeping that combination in view is a central part of our work.

In four steps. First, a free initial conversation where we assess your project and its funding options. Then a detailed funding search across state, federal, and EU levels. Next, we develop your individual funding strategy, including possible program combinations. And finally, we support you through the entire process, from submitting the application to managing the approved funds.

This varies a lot by program. Approval typically takes anywhere from a few weeks to several months after the application is submitted. Payout often follows project progress or project completion. In the initial conversation, we give you a realistic timeline for the programs relevant to you.

We take on most of the work for you, especially research, the application text, and communication with the funding bodies. What we need from you is mainly input on your project and a few documents. Our goal is to keep the time you spend on it as low as possible.

The initial conversation is free and non-binding. For further collaboration, we use a fair, transparent model. We discuss the exact terms openly in the initial conversation, tailored to your project.

Often, yes, once your company has been founded. Through the BAFA program for SMEs, 50 or 80% of eligible consulting costs can be subsidized, depending on your location; in Berlin it is 50%. Costs up to €3,500 are eligible (BAFA fact sheet, in German). Applications are possible until 31 December 2026. We clarify how much is possible for you in the free initial conversation.

It depends on the type of funding. Grants, often called "non-repayable grants," generally do not need to be repaid. Funding loans, on the other hand, are repaid at reduced interest rates. We clarify upfront and transparently which programs apply to you and what that means for repayment.

Tax advisors cover the tax side, but they are often not the main operational point of contact for describing funding projects in technical and content terms. We specialize in founders and startups and support you end to end, from the idea through the business plan to the right funding. We're happy to work alongside your tax advisor where needed.
